There are a couple April events that you might be interested:

APRIL 15:  STREAM CLEANUP

When:  Saturday, April 15, 9-11AM

Where:  Otto Kaufman Community Center (356 Skillman Road, Skillman)

What:  Join The Watershed Institute and Montgomery Environmental Commission to remove litter and debris along Rock Brook, where it flows through Township parks and open spaces.  A shuttle bus will take you from the Community Center to a few locations along Rock Brook.

Pre-registration is required via The Watershed’s website 

– This event is rain or shine.
– Bring a reusable water bottle and gloves.
– Masks optional.
– Do not attend if you are feeling unwell.
– Children must be accompanied by an adult.

APRIL 23:  EARTH DAY

When:  Sunday, April 23, 11AM – 2 PM

Where:  Montgomery Municipal Complex (100 Community Drive, Skillman) *NEW LOCATION FOR 2023*

What:  Join the Environmental Commission for our 18th annual Earth Day celebration.  We will again host a drive-thru style event where residents can securely shred sensitive documents, and drop off metal and electronics for recycling.
