This is a gentle reminder that our next meeting is this coming Thursday, May 11th, 1:00pm at the Montgomery Senior Center.

We will have two speakers.  They come highly recommended by Caitlyn Meador of Foothill Acres Rehab and Nursing Center.

Robert J. Shanahan, Jr. Elder Law Attorney will give a presentation about legal planning, wills, powers of attorney and guardianship specifically related to the aging population.

Following his presentation Daniel James (D.J.) Wright Owner and Executive Director of Wright and Ford Family Funeral Home will present “The Talk of your Life” and how to properly and effectively plan for your future alongside your support system. D.J. Is a member of the NJ State Funeral Directors Association, where he served as President during 2018-19. He is a board member for Hunterdon Medical Center Foundation, and represents many charitable foundations.

You can pick up our latest calendar at the meeting.  At this meeting, you can buy tickets to West Side Story (first come, first served) and can sign up for (1) the picnic, (2) the casino trip, (3) Bye Bye Birdie and (4) the Somerset Patriots baseball game.  We will also do a quick poll on the interest level for “All Shook Up” at the Mountain Music Theatre.

If you are a member of the Somerset County-administered Montgomery Senior Wellness Center, you might want to have lunch at the center from 12:00pm to 12:30pm before our meeting.  If so, be sure to let Denise or Elyse know before 10:00am on Wednesday.  They can be reached at (609) 466-0846.
